ILLUSTRIOUS COMPANION HORACE W. "BILL" JONES

MASONIC RECORD

Illustrious Companion Jones was born on April 1, 1943 in Gurdon, Arkansas. He graduated from Gurdon High School in 1961 and worked in a local logging business during that summer and fall. Bill enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in January 1962. Following basic military training, he entered the aircraft maintenance field where he served until his retirement in May 1987. Following his active duty service, Bill worked for the Air Force as a Logistics Program Manager for an additional twenty-one plus years, retiring from the workforce in April 2009. Bill's primary focus was always on his career development. However, he took advantage of off duty education through the Community College of the Air Force, service schools, numerous universities and colleges. Bill and his wife Sara have been married for over 32 years and have three grown children. SYMBOLIC LODGE        Bill was raised a Master Mason in Yellow Springs Lodge # 421 in 1994. He served        as Worshipful Master in 1999-2000, 2000-2001 and 2005-2006, receiving the Grand        Master's Award in each of those years. CAPITULAR        He became a Royal Arch Mason in Rabboni Chapter # 232 in Fairborn, Ohio in 1997.                 He transferred to Shawnee Chapter # 237 and served as High Priest in 2009 - 2010. CRYPTIC        He joined Springfield Council # 17 R & SM in Springfield, Ohio in 2000.        He served as Illustrious Master in 2006 - 2007 and 2010 - 2011. CHEVALRIC        He was Knighted in Palestine Commandery # 33 at Springfield, Ohio in 1999.        He served as Commander in 2008 - 2009. OHIO PRIORY NO. 18, KNIGHTS OF THE YORK CROSS OF HONOUR       Knighted November 6, 2010 in Zanesville, Ohio.
