Illustrious Companion Smith was born on May 2, 1957 in West Carrollton, Ohio. He graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1975 and entered Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio Northern in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing. While at Ohio Northern he met his wife, Marybeth and was married in Ada, Ohio in 1980 Mike began his working career at NCR Corporation where he worked for twelve years.  He then sold security systems for five years and computers for five more before switching careers to Procurement in 2000 with LexisNexis. He is currentlly employed by Reed Elsevier, parent company of LexisNexis, and in 2003 attained the Certified Purchaseing Manager (C.P.M.) designation. Mike and Marybeth have two grown children., Jennifer who graduated from Ashland University and lives in Cleveland, Ohio and Christopher who attends Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. SYMBOLIC LODGE        Mike was raised a Master Mason in West Carrollton Lodge # 737 in 1990        He served asWorshipful Master in 1993 - 1994 and received the Grand Master's  Award CAPITULAR        He became a Royal Arch Mason in Friendship Chapter # 245 in West Carrollton in 1991.        He served a s High Priest in 1997 CRYPTIC        He joined Adoniram Council Royal & Select Masons in Miamisburg, Ohio in 1993.        He presided as Illustrious Master in 2000 - 2001 and received the Arthur O. Marker Award CHEVALRIC        He was Knighted in Valley Commandery # 80 in Miamisburg, Ohio in 1993.        He is now serving as Generalissimo.
