The Grand Council Benevolent Fund, Inc. which also does business as the Diabetic Kids Fund is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.  Our tax identification number is 34-1862533.

The Diabetic Kids Fund provides camperships to enable needy children to attend camp.  At these diabetic camps the children learn to take control of their lives while having fun in a recreational camp setting.  The camps are fully staffed by pediatric diabetes educators and a complete medical staff of doctors, nurses and dieticians.

Six Ohio resident camps for school age children are supported by the Diabetic Kids Fund.  The camps are located near Cleveland, Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, Findlay and Toledo.  About 1,000 kids attend these special resident camps each year and about half need financial assistance.

The fund has no paid employees; Grand Council volunteers handle the operation of the Fund, which permits every penny collected to be used to help a diabetic child.

Checks may be made payable to the Diabetic Kids Fund and sent to the Grand Council office.  The address is P.O. Box 751538, Dayton, Ohio  45475-1738.  Inquiries may be emailed to the Secretary of the Grand Council Benevolent Fund, Inc. at
